Catch the wind adventure bag

This textile! A friend of mine found 3 good sized squares of this upholstry fabric for me and it's very cool bc it looks like cross stitch! I would have loved to get a couch made with this whenever it was produced. I'm not sure exactly what year it's from but if I had to guess, I would say the 70's. It's almost got a folk art vibe, it's hard to explain it and i've never worked with any other textiles like it. The photos are good but these bags need to be seen in person to appreciate how hearty they are!

This bag is lined with canvas, has two inside pockets, one outside pocket and a heavy duty metal snap closure. The bottom of the bag is a upcycled from a very cool velvety type corduroy upholstry fabric, it's thick and dreamy. Who doesn't love a bag that can stand up on its own?
